Disney has just released some of the paintings from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
This first character is called a "Bandersnatch". This version should be credited to my friend Michael Kutsche. I painted the initial painting and another artist painted on top of mine But Disney released the image as being mine... please take some time and check out the super talented Michael Kutsche when you have the time. Special shout out to Jason Seiler who also collaborated with me on another version of this character that I will show after the movie is released.

On March 4th Kei Acedera and I will be having our "Alice in Wonderland" gallery show at Arludik Gallerie in Paris France. We will be showing a whole bunch of our character designs from the movie as well as a collection of our own Alice in Wonderland tribute pieces.

Mark your calendars and we will see you there!

I forgot to mention, being addled, that at night in Wonderland, the monsters come out. Bandersnatch, Jabberwock, less describable things. "The sleep of reason breeds monsters" -and dogmatic religion !

I always thought the Bandersnatch was like a crocodile or alligator.

Anyway, I wrote a sequel to "Alice in Wonderland" where Casper has similar adventures. I start out with familiar characters and then segue into new ones: including the Queen of Clubs. I try to maintain what a correspondent called the "nuttiness" of the original. It needs work, esp. in the latter part...

He should of looked more like this in the movie. He's the frumious bandersnatch, for goodness sake, not the fluffy tiger-dog-horse. He's just plain ugly in this, and that's how it should be.

Also, I still wish he had extended his neck in the movie. As I said before: He's the bandersnatch, for goodness sake.
