This was an idea for a painting that I felt compelled to paint. I call it "CASUALTY."

It's always wonderful to paint things that are personal to how I feel or the things that concern me. I just wish this idea wasn't inspired by an event that was so horrific such as the BP oil spill.

Oil spills are always so tragic, it's really sad to think of all the animals that die in them.
The legs on the fish-creature are really cool, and the iridescence from the oil was really well done. Great work!

How can there not be a comment on this!? It's amazing!
And really sad...

if the fish-creature was the last of
its kind, of that it maybe mutated into that cause of all
the pollution in the ocean.. o_o ... You really made it
look like oil-grease, well done! And the creatures eye
(it reminds me of a rabbit) is really emotional, so sad..
