George: "Chi-chi dog?" ::from inside a croc's mouth::
Ape: "That, George, is a crocodile."
George: "Thought it looked like crocodile. But you know how sneaky they are."

Why does Tarzan never have a beard?
Regardless, VERY cool. :]

In the book, Tarzan deliberately shaved to emulate the people he saw in the book he found in the cabin his parents built. It was a way to embrace his heritage and differentiate himself from his ape family members. While he didn't dislike them, he never felt that he was one of them, so this was a way to be independent.

Yeah, he should, unless he does that Native American thing and pluck out whatever shows up on his chin, but back when the pulp magazine stories and novels came out, complete with cover art, the heroes were all clean-shaven, usually including their arms, legs, anything that was visible, since that was the "manly ideal" at the time. In other eras, they'd have handlebar mustaches, or muttonchop whiskers, or fully fuzzy chins, or.... ;)

I'm aware of the pulp fiction connection, it's just a bit of a facetious question. Haha. I like the idea one person had that wild hair and a beard was way too masculine and brute like, so they made him squeaky clean.

LOL! Being a technical writer for a time, I never presume what people know and don't, especially in this day and age when it seems no one remembers/cares about the past...I should've known better with this community, though! :D

Well I'm certainly one of the people who cares. Historical accuracy is something I crave in most cases. ;]
