I've been checking out your latest drawings like this. I love the technique of shading you use to contrast the creature. Instead of casting a shadow on the floor, it is casting a shadow onto the page as if it is coming out of it. Really good technique.

I love the effect of the shadows and light; it looks like the front is leaving the page while the back isn't. Also that tail reminds me of a manatee <3
