Tip of the Day: Believing is not Doing

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 14, 2012, 8:01 AM
Tip of the Day: A lot of times people might ask for advice and when they are told the answer, their reaction is "Oh I know that already."  Believing in something isn't the same as acting upon what you believe in. Successful people DO the things they know they should do whether they like it or not.

Sending positive vibes to you all!
Bobby

Many know what it takes to do something, but not all actually do it. That's a big part of the everyday fight. At least for me.

I remember something a teacher told me in high school (that wasn't her's but a quote from somebody esle, I just don't remember the source) that was something like:
"When a person doesn't do what they think they should, they spend their whole time thinking what they should be doing instead "

Indeed, I always go back to it when I get overwhelmed by frustration with stuff I could and should've fixed earlier

I know how that is. I'm just learning how to get ON IT. I've made a lot of mistakes a couple months back so I'm right now patching them right up. But I want to spend more time doing than thinking about it.

Yeah, there's always ups and downs, and even if we don't mean bad sometimes things get out of our hands, and when he finally get to see it clearly it's hard to face the facts, but it's also our responsibility to take action and get in terms with the problems the best we can even if it's not pretty and there isn't an easy solution, most of the times "easy" isn't a choice in the adult life.

Yeah. I can understand that.

The easy way is not the best way in the long run.

I remember once I read an editor say that when asked for an advice on aspiring artists there was a phrase he liked very much, it was "In life most of the choices are about when to pay: you can choose to pay now or to pay later, but some time it will be the time when you have put it from yourself, otherwise you'll never get something done or get nowhere. This is the best you can hope for, to have this choice".
I find that very useful thought too, it's not about money or anything, but more like in the sense of "putting your own effort", somewhere along the line it's gonna cost you,so there isn't a easy way, just the "now" or the "later", which in turn it will be a "now" then. :)

I know that motto. Not in words but in concept. The choose, the best you can hope for is having the choice to do it on your own. You will regret all choices you do not make, whether good or bad.
