Tip of the Day: Playing the Game of Life

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 28, 2012, 8:41 AM
I used to spend all my free time on games. Arcade games, card games, home entertainment systems... etc. Until I found the best game of all - LIFE. Not the board game but the real thing.

You only get one life and there are many levels that you can pass. Try to think of life as a game. Always trying to get to that "next level." Identify what you could achieve to get to the "next level" in your life and put your energy into it!

sending positive vibes to you all!

Bobby

Hehe, I think of this all the time! All the little things I do are like mini games (art, school, work, etc.) and I try to keep in mind which mini games will get me furthest in the larger game (whatever I am trying to do with my life). If I'm trying to get into a great university then grades are top priority, so I have to play that mini game better to get to higher levels - devising better study habits, organizing my schedule, staying after class to ask for help. It can take a while to get used to playing the Life game, but once you get into a rhythm it can be addictive. ;)

I completely agree; I too had the same problem and to some extent, I still do. But to be completely honest I will never be able to drop games as a hobby, it's the driving force behind my creativity and one of the main reasons behind my choice to start getting serious in this field of work professionally. I am working hard, very hard; to get where I want, perhaps I can work harder and I will, because everything that I can perceive; I CAN achieve.

I really do appreciate the time you spend to leave us with a message of wisdom and encouragement, I read every word of it because I cherish your fine example, I am sure we all do.

I spend my free time working. I could use a two-week-vacation in Bora-Bora... I'd work on my own stuff. LOL

Good point- I know I blow a lot of time shooting down planes and carting animals about on my computer... I doubt I will be doing that in real life, but I need to be more productive with my time.
